Hu Recom NGF-beta, ACF, 1000 µg

A neural growth factor from STEMCELL Technologies, Human Recombinant NGF-beta, ACF, plays a role in the survival and growth of neural cells, where it regulates cell growth, promotes differentiation into neurons, and supports neuron migration. Biological activity was assessed by the product's ability to promote the proliferation of TF-1 cells, with cell proliferation measured after 60 hours in culture using a fluorometric assay method. The EC50, defined as the effective concentration of the growth factor at which cell proliferation is at 50% of maximum, was determined to be 1.31 ng/mL. Purity was examined by resolving 1 μg of the product with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions, visualized by Coomassie Blue staining. The product is designed for use in research areas spanning ciliary neurotrophic factor, nerve growth factor beta, brain-derived neurotrophic factor (animal component-free), and glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor workflows.
