Hu Recom NGF-beta, ACF, 100 µg

STEMCELL Technologies offers this animal component-free preparation of Human Recombinant NGF-beta, a cytokine with roles in the survival and growth of neural cells, regulating cell growth, promoting differentiation into neurons, and neuron migration.

Biological activity was assessed by the ability to promote proliferation of TF-1 cells. Cell proliferation was measured after 60 hours in culture using a fluorometric assay method, with the EC50 defined as the effective concentration of the growth factor at which cell proliferation is at 50% of maximum. In the cited example, the EC50 was 1.31 ng/mL.

Quality was evaluated by resolving 1 μg with SDS-PAGE under reducing and non-reducing conditions, visualized by Coomassie Blue staining.

This product is designed for use in research areas involving ciliary neurotrophic factor, nerve growth factor beta, brain-derived neurotrophic factor (animal component-free), and glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor.
