Hu Recom MCP-1 (CCL2), 20 µg

A recombinant protein from STEMCELL Technologies, Human Recombinant MCP-1 (CCL2) induces migration of monocytes and has roles in physiological processes such as neurogenesis, neuroprotection, and neurotransmission. Its biological activity was tested by the ability to induce chemotaxis of THP-1 cells, with cell migration measured after 1 hour using a fluorometric assay method. An increase in migration over basal level was observed starting at 1 ng/mL.

The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 8.7 kDa, as supported by SDS-PAGE analysis under reducing and non-reducing conditions visualized with Coomassie Blue staining. It is designed for use in research workflows including differentiation of human monocytes into dendritic cells and immunomagnetic negative isolation of untouched mouse monocytes.
