Hu Recom LIF, ACF, 100 µg

This laboratory reagent supplied by STEMCELL Technologies is a human recombinant Leukemia Inhibitory Factor (LIF) prepared under animal component-free (ACF) conditions. According to the manufacturer's product information, LIF plays a role in implantation by regulating proliferation, invasion, and differentiation of trophoblast following blastocyst attachment, supporting its use in stem cell research workflows.

Biological activity is evaluated by the ability of the cytokine to promote proliferation of TF-1 cells. Cell proliferation is measured after 66 hours of culture using a fluorometric assay method, with the EC50 defined as the effective concentration of the growth factor at which cell proliferation is at 50% of maximum; an example EC50 of 0.06 ng/mL is reported. Product integrity is assessed by resolving 1 μg of the protein with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions, with bands visualized by Coomassie Blue staining.
