From STEMCELL Technologies, Human Recombinant IL-9 functions as an autocrine growth and activation factor for Th17 cells, Tregs, and mast cells. Biological activity is determined by its ability to promote the proliferation of MO7e cells, measured using a fluorometric assay method, with the EC50 in the example shown being less than 1 ng/mL. When 2 μg of the protein is resolved by SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining, the predicted molecular mass is 25 - 40 kDa.

The product is designed for use in research workflows involving serum-free and xeno-free medium for the expansion of T cells, immunomagnetic negative isolation of untouched human T cells, and immunomagnetic negative isolation of untouched human naïve CD4+ T cells.
