Supplied by STEMCELL Technologies for use as a laboratory reagent, this recombinant human protein is also referred to as Interleukin-7, LP-1, Lymphopoietin 1, or Pre-B cell factor. The cytokine regulates the survival of naïve and memory CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, as well as αβ and γδ T cells, NKT cells, innate lymphoid cells, and T regulatory cells.

Biological activity is assessed by the ability to promote proliferation of PHA-stimulated PBMCs, with an EC50 of ≤ 0.5 ng/mL. SDS-PAGE analysis under reducing and non-reducing conditions shows a predicted molecular mass of 17.5 kDa. The product supports robust T cell expansion comparable to other commercially available cytokines when supplemented at 10 ng/mL in expansion culture.
