Biological activity was demonstrated by its ability to promote the proliferation of TF-1 cells, with cell proliferation measured using a fluorometric assay; the reported EC50 in the example shown is less than 0.1 ng/mL. The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 15.1 kDa, and visualization of 2 μg by Coomassie Blue staining following SDS-PAGE under both reducing and non-reducing conditions was demonstrated.
