Hu Recom IL-3, ACF, 1000 µg

From STEMCELL Technologies, this laboratory reagent is a recombinant form of human Interleukin-3 (IL-3) prepared under animal component-free (ACF) conditions. The cytokine is supplied as a solid powder. IL-3 promotes the survival and proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells and lineage-committed progenitors, and supports their differentiation into mature cells. The product is intended for use within Interleukin 3 research workflows.

Biological activity is determined by the cytokine's ability to promote proliferation of TF-1 cells, measured using a fluorometric assay. The EC50, defined as the effective concentration at which cell proliferation reaches 50% of maximum, is 0.244 ng/mL. Purity is evaluated by resolving 1 μg of the material with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (−) conditions, followed by visualization with Coomassie Blue staining. Storage should follow the conditions listed on the Product Information Sheet (PIS).

Per the manufacturer's safety data sheet, the product is not classified as hazardous under the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) or the Globally Harmonized System (GHS), and is not regulated for transport by DOT, TDG, MEX, ICAO, IATA, IMDG, RID, ADR, or ADN.
