Quality-control testing by the manufacturer assessed biological activity through the ability of the cytokine to promote proliferation of B9 cells, yielding an EC50 of ≤ 5 ng/mL. SDS-PAGE analysis under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions, with visualization by Coomassie Blue staining, indicates a predicted molecular mass of 15.4 kDa.
