Hu Recom IL-2 (E.coli Expr.), 100 µg

A lyophilized recombinant human cytokine from STEMCELL Technologies, Interleukin-2 (IL-2) is expressed in E. coli and supplied as a sterile-filtered preparation containing 0.1% trifluoroacetic acid. The protein, also known by the alternative names Aldesleukin, T cell growth factor, and TCGF, has a predicted molecular mass of 15.5 kDa and corresponds to UniProt accession P60568.

Manufacturer specifications indicate a purity of ≥ 97% and a specific activity of ≥ 3.33 x 10^5 units/mg, determined by a CTLL-2 cell proliferation assay with an EC50 ≤ 3 ng/mL. Endotoxin levels are reported as ≤ 0.1 EU/μg protein, measured by kinetic Limulus amebocyte lysate (LAL) analysis. The vial is reconstituted in sterile 10 mM hydrochloric acid to at least 0.1 mg/mL without vortexing, and stored at -20 to -80°C. The product is stable as supplied for 12 months from date of receipt and is intended for research use only.
