Hu Recom IL-15, ACF, 10 µg

Supplied by STEMCELL Technologies as an animal component-free preparation, this recombinant human Interleukin-15 (IL-15) is a four-alpha helix bundle cytokine with properties similar to IL-2. IL-15 supports the survival and proliferation of naïve CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, promotes homeostasis of memory T cells, and promotes the survival and differentiation of NK cells while regulating their cytolytic activity.

The protein is expressed in E. coli and supplied lyophilized from a sterile-filtered solution containing sodium bicarbonate at pH 8.5. It has a predicted molecular mass of 12.9 kDa and a stated purity of ≥ 97%. Specific activity is ≥ 1 x 10^6 units/mg (EC50 ≤ 1 ng/mL), as determined by a cell proliferation assay using CTLL-2 cells. Endotoxin level is ≤ 0.1 EU/μg protein as measured by kinetic Limulus amebocyte lysate (LAL) analysis. For storage, the product should be kept at -20 to -80°C and is stable as supplied for 12 months from the date of receipt. The product is intended for research use only.
