Hu Recom IL-1 beta, ACF, 100 µg

STEMCELL Technologies supplies Human Recombinant IL-1 beta in an ACF formulation. IL-1β is described as a cytokine that promotes extravasation of immunocompetent cells into affected tissues and that stimulates Th17 differentiation and B cell proliferation.

Biological activity is demonstrated by the ability to promote proliferation of D10S cells, measured after 66 hours of culture using a fluorometric assay method. The EC50 is defined as the effective concentration of the cytokine at which cell proliferation reaches 50% of maximum; in the example shown, the EC50 is 0.87 pg/mL. In a separate quality assessment, 1 μg of the protein was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining.

The material is supplied as a solid powder and is not classified as a hazardous substance or mixture according to the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) or the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard. It is stable under normal conditions. Handling should follow good industrial hygiene and safety practice, and storage should follow the instructions on the Product Information Sheet (PIS).
