Hu Recom IL-1 beta, 10 µg

A laboratory reagent from STEMCELL Technologies, this Human Recombinant IL-1 beta is a cytokine that promotes extravasation of immunocompetent cells into affected tissues and stimulates Th17 differentiation and B cell proliferation.

Biological activity was assessed by its ability to promote the proliferation of D10S cells, with cell proliferation measured after 66 hours of culture using a fluorometric assay method. The EC50 is defined as the effective concentration of the growth factor at which cell proliferation is at 50% of maximum, and was determined to be 0.7 - 1 pg/mL. The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 17.5 kDa, as visualized by SDS-PAGE under reducing and non-reducing conditions followed by Coomassie Blue staining.

The product is supplied as a solid and is not classified as a hazardous substance or mixture according to the Globally Harmonized System (GHS). It is stable under recommended transport and storage conditions and is not regulated for transport by DOT, TDG, MEX, ICAO (air), IATA, IMDG, RID, ADR, or ADN. The environmental impact of this product has not been fully investigated.
