Hu Recom IHH, 50 µg

Manufactured by STEMCELL Technologies Canada Inc. in Vancouver, British Columbia, this recombinant human protein is supplied as a solid intended for use as a laboratory reagent. In research applications, IHH promotes bone growth and differentiation, and yolk sac vasculogenesis. The biological activity of Human Recombinant IHH was tested by its ability to induce alkaline phosphatase activity in CCL-226 cells, measured using a fluorometric assay. The EC50 — defined as the effective concentration of the signaling molecule at which alkaline phosphatase activity reaches 50% of maximum — was determined to be less than 3 μg/mL in the cited example. The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 19.7 kDa; 2 μg of Human Recombinant IHH was resolved by SDS-PAGE under reducing and non-reducing conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining.
