Hu Recom GDF-5, 50 µg

Supplied by STEMCELL Technologies as a solid powder, this laboratory reagent is Human Recombinant GDF-5. GDF-5 enhances chondrogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells, skeletogenesis, and dendrite growth during development. The biological activity of this recombinant protein was tested by its ability to induce alkaline phosphatase production in ATDC-5 cells, with alkaline phosphatase production measured after 63 hours using a fluorometric assay method. The EC50 in the referenced example is 0.017 μg/mL. Purity was assessed by resolving 1 μg of the protein with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (−) conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining.

The product is not classified as a hazardous substance or mixture according to the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) and is stable under normal conditions.
