Hu Recom G-CSF, 100 µg

Manufactured by STEMCELL Technologies, this Human Recombinant G-CSF is expressed in E. coli and is designed for immunology and stem cell research. The growth factor stimulates the initial proliferation of granulocyte-macrophage progenitors and supports the survival of erythroid and eosinophil progenitors. Biological activity was tested by the ability to promote proliferation of mouse NFS-60 cells, measured using a fluorometric assay. In the reported assay, the EC50 — defined as the effective concentration at which proliferation is at 50% of maximum — was 0.053 ng/mL. When 1 µg was resolved by SDS-PAGE under reducing and non-reducing conditions and visualised with Coomassie Blue staining, the protein showed a predicted molecular mass of 18.8 kDa.

The reagent is produced under stringent criteria, with a guaranteed purity of ≥ 95% and endotoxin levels of ≤ 0.2 EU/µg protein to ensure consistency and reproducibility across applications. It is listed for use in Hematopoietic Stem and Progenitor Cell Research workflows, and an Animal Component-Free version is also offered within the STEMCELL cytokine range, which spans sizes from 10 µg to 1 mg.
