Supplied by STEMCELL Technologies, this E. coli-derived recombinant human G-CSF stimulates the initial proliferation of granulocyte-macrophage progenitors and supports the survival of erythroid and eosinophil progenitors.

Biological activity was assessed by the protein's capacity to promote proliferation of mouse NFS-60 cells, measured using a fluorometric assay. The EC50, defined as the effective concentration at which cell proliferation reaches 50% of maximum, is 0.053 ng/mL. SDS-PAGE analysis under reducing and non-reducing conditions, visualized by Coomassie Blue staining, indicates a predicted molecular mass of 18.8 kDa.
