Manufactured by STEMCELL Technologies, this laboratory reagent consists of human recombinant FGF-7 (KGF), a growth factor that stimulates the proliferation, migration, and differentiation of epithelial cells and participates in epithelial protection and repair.

Bioactivity is determined by the ability of the protein to promote proliferation of 4MBr-5 cells using a fluorometric assay, with an EC50 of less than 2 ng/mL. The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 19 kDa, resolved by SDS-PAGE and visualized with Coomassie Blue staining.
