Hu Recom FGF-7, ACF, 1000 µg

This human recombinant fibroblast growth factor 7 (FGF-7) preparation is supplied by STEMCELL Technologies as a laboratory reagent. FGF-7 stimulates the proliferation, migration, and differentiation of epithelial cells and participates in epithelial protection and repair. The biological activity of this product has been tested by its ability to promote proliferation of 4MBr-5 cells, with cell proliferation measured using a fluorometric assay method and an example EC50 of 2.5 ng/mL.

The product is designated as animal component-free (ACF) and has a predicted molecular mass of 19.0 kDa, as demonstrated by SDS-PAGE under reducing and non-reducing conditions visualized by Coomassie Blue staining. It supports research applications including defined animal component-free medium for the differentiation of human ESCs and iPSCs to definitive endoderm, culture of human mammary epithelial cells, and defined, serum-free, xeno-free medium for pluripotent stem cells.

According to the manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet, this reagent is not classified as hazardous under the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) and is not regulated for transport by DOT, TDG, MEX, ICAO, IATA, IMDG, RID, ADR, or ADN.
