Biological activity is demonstrated by its ability to promote proliferation of NR6R-3T3 cells in the presence of 1 μg heparin, with cell proliferation measured using a fluorometric assay method. In the example provided, the EC50 is 0.00442 ng/mL. The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 18.9 kDa, and 1 μg resolves on SDS-PAGE under both reducing and non-reducing conditions, visualized by Coomassie Blue staining.

The product is not classified as a hazardous substance or mixture according to the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) and is stable under normal conditions. It is intended for research use in workflows that include the derivation and expansion of mesenchymal progenitor cells, among other applications.
