A recombinant human fibroblast growth factor from STEMCELL Technologies, with implications in cell proliferation and differentiation during embryonic development processes. Biological activity is demonstrated by its ability to promote the proliferation of BALB/c 3T3 cells, measured using a fluorometric assay method. The EC50, defined as the effective concentration at which proliferation reaches 50% of maximum, is less than 0.5 ng/mL. SDS-PAGE analysis under reducing and non-reducing conditions visualized by Coomassie Blue staining shows a predicted molecular mass of 19.4 kDa.
