Biological activity of the ACF human recombinant EGF was assessed by its ability to promote the proliferation of BALB/c 3T3 cells, measured using a fluorometric assay method. The reported EC50 in the example is 0.0459 ng/mL. Protein integrity was analyzed by SDS-PAGE under reducing and non-reducing conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining.
