CD40 Ligand stimulates B cell proliferation, immunoglobulin class switching, antibody secretion, and T cell-dependent humoral responses. According to the manufacturer's bioassay data, the EC50 is defined as the effective concentration of the ligand at which bioluminescence is at 50% of maximum, and is reported as ≤ 250 ng/mL in the example shown. The product has a predicted molecular mass of 16.3 kDa, and 1 μg resolves with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions as visualized by Coomassie Blue staining.
