Hu Recom Betacellulin, 50 µg

STEMCELL Technologies offers Human Recombinant Betacellulin, a member of the EGF family of growth factors. It induces neural stem cell proliferation and prevents spontaneous differentiation in culture.

Biological activity was validated by its ability to promote proliferation of BALB/c 3T3 cells, measured using a fluorometric assay method. The EC50, defined as the effective concentration of the growth factor at which cell proliferation is at 50% of maximum, is less than 0.01 ng/mL. Product purity was confirmed by SDS-PAGE under reducing and non-reducing conditions, visualized by Coomassie Blue staining.

This product is designed for use in research areas including serum-free differentiation of human ES and iPS cells to pancreatic progenitor cells, culture of human mammospheres and tumorspheres, and culture of human mammary epithelial cells.
