Hu Recom Betacellulin, 10 µg

Produced by STEMCELL Technologies, Human Recombinant Betacellulin is described by the manufacturer as a member of the EGF family of growth factors, reported to induce neural stem cell proliferation and to prevent spontaneous differentiation in culture.

Biological activity was assessed by the ability to promote the proliferation of BALB/c 3T3 cells, with cell proliferation measured using a fluorometric assay. The EC50, defined as the effective concentration at which cell proliferation reaches 50% of maximum, is reported in the cited example as less than 0.01 ng/mL. For purity assessment, 2 μg of the protein was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (−) conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining.
