From STEMCELL Technologies, this Human Recombinant ACE2 Protein is expressed in HEK cells and carries a C-terminal Fc tag. Angiotensin-converting enzyme II (ACE2) is the host cell receptor that the SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein engages to enable viral entry, making recombinant ACE2 a key reagent for studying receptor binding, viral entry mechanisms, and related therapeutic and vaccine development.

In functional ELISA testing with immobilized SARS-CoV-2 Recombinant Spike Protein, this ACE2 protein binds with an EC50 of 37 ng/mL. It is intended for research use in studies of SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19, supporting investigations of virus–host interactions and the immune response to infection.
