Hu/Ms Recom TGF-beta 3, ACF, 1000 µg

STEMCELL Technologies offers this animal component-free preparation of Human Recombinant TGF-beta 3, a member of the TGF-β superfamily of cytokines. The protein is produced in E. coli and has a predicted molecular mass of 12.9 kDa as a monomer and 25.7 kDa as a dimer. It binds to serine/threonine kinase type I and II receptors and activates signal transduction through SMAD2/3 proteins, regulating cellular functions including proliferation, differentiation, wound healing, apoptosis, and metabolism.

The preparation demonstrates ≥ 95% purity and cross-reactivity with mouse, rat, pig, cow, and dog. Specific activity is ≥ 1.0 x 10^6 units/mg, with an EC50 of ≤ 1 ng/mL as determined by the ability to inhibit IL-4-induced HT-2 cell proliferation; a representative assay yielded an EC50 of 0.038 ng/mL. Endotoxin level is ≤ 1 EU/μg protein, measured by kinetic Limulus amebocyte lysate (LAL) analysis. The product is supplied as a sterile-filtered liquid formulated in 10 mM acetic acid and 20% ethanol.

For storage, the vial should be kept at 2 to 8 °C and remains stable for up to 12 months from the date of receipt. Centrifuge the vial before opening and do not vortex. The product is intended for research use only and is not for human or animal diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
