Hu/Ms Recom GDF-11, ACF, 1000 µg

STEMCELL Technologies recombinant GDF-11 (Growth Differentiation Factor 11, also known as BMP-11) is supplied as a 1000 µg vial of lyophilized, animal component-free (ACF) protein compatible with both human and mouse experimental systems. GDF-11 is a secreted ligand of the TGF-β superfamily that governs mesoderm patterning, skeletal muscle mass regulation, neuronal development, and hematopoietic lineage specification, making it a standard reagent in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine laboratories.

Researchers apply this protein to direct differentiation of pluripotent stem cells toward cardiac and mesodermal fates, to supplement defined organoid culture media, and to dose animal models probing age-related tissue decline. The ACF production workflow excludes bovine serum, transferrin, and other animal-derived raw materials, supporting reproducible results in xeno-free culture platforms and easing translation toward clinically relevant workflows.
