GloCell FV Red 780, 100 tests

STEMCELL Technologies supplies this irreversible cell viability dye, which is used to stain live and dead mammalian cells in flow cytometry workflows. The dye has an excitation maximum of 757 nm and an emission maximum of 779 nm, and is suited to excitation by a 633 nm red laser for detection in the APC-Cy7 channel using a 780/60 bandpass filter.

The product is supplied as a liquid preparation whose composition is dominated by dimethyl sulfoxide (CAS 67-68-5) at greater than 99% by weight. According to the manufacturer's safety data sheet, the preparation is classified as a flammable liquid in Category 4 (combustible liquid) with a flash point of 87 °C (189 °F), and it carries warning labels stating that it causes skin irritation and serious eye irritation.

Recommended personal protective equipment includes impervious gloves, tight-sealing safety goggles, and long-sleeved protective clothing. The product should be kept away from heat, sparks, flame, and other ignition sources and stored in a well-ventilated, cool place in properly labelled containers.
