GloCell FV Dye Violet 540, 5x100tests

STEMCELL Technologies supplies an amine-labeling fluorescent viability dye designed for live/dead discrimination of mammalian cells, particularly in flow cytometry workflows. The dye irreversibly binds intracellular and cell surface amine groups, and its use can precede fixation, permeabilization, or cryopreservation steps.

Cells with compromised plasma membranes become permeable to the dye, producing greater fluorescence than intact live cells in a viability assay. The dye is excited by the violet laser at 405 nm and shows a fluorescence emission maximum of 540 nm, detectable using the 525/50 band pass filter commonly employed for AmCyan. Performance is verified for flow cytometry (FC) and reported for immunofluorescence microscopy (IF), including viability assessment of cells isolated with EasySep™ and RosetteSep™ kits.

The product is supplied in anhydrous DMSO and should be stored at -20°C, protected from prolonged exposure to light. Because the formulation contains DMSO, a strong solvent and skin penetrant, extra caution is advised when handling the product and the Safety Data Sheet should be consulted.
