GloCell FV Dye Violet 510, 100 tests

STEMCELL Technologies provides this amine-labeling fluorescent dye for live/dead staining of mammalian cells in applications such as flow cytometry. The GloCell™ Fixable Viability Dye Violet 510 irreversibly binds intracellular and cell surface amine groups and can be used prior to fixation, permeabilization, or cryopreservation. Cells with compromised plasma membranes become permeable to the dye, resulting in greater fluorescence compared to live cells in a cell viability assay.

The dye is excited by the violet laser at 405 nm and has a fluorescence emission maximum of 510 nm, detectable using the 525/50 band pass filter typically used to detect AmCyan. It is supplied as an anhydrous DMSO formulation and should be stored at -20°C, protected from prolonged exposure to light; the product remains stable until the expiry date printed on the label. The dye is verified for flow cytometry and reported for immunofluorescence microscopy, and has been verified for viability assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ and RosetteSep™ kits. Because the formulation contains DMSO, a strong solvent and skin penetrant, extra caution should be utilized when handling this product.
