EZ2 Connect Custom Protocol

The EZ2 Connect Custom Protocol module extends QIAGEN's automated sample preparation platform by letting laboratories design, save, and execute their own purification workflows directly on the EZ2 Connect instrument. The package supports up to 24 samples per run and accepts variable input volumes from 30 to 500 µL, with adjustable elution volumes of 50 to 200 µL collected into standard 1.5 mL tubes.

Built on magnetic bead-based separation, the Custom Protocol interface guides users through reagent volumes, mixing speeds, incubation times, and binding/wash step parameters on the integrated touchscreen. Validated protocols can be stored in the on-board library for reproducible, operator-independent batch processing, supporting DNA, RNA, and protein preparation from blood, buffy coat, tissue, and bacterial lysates. The module pairs with existing EZ2 Connect installations and prefilled reagent cartridges, requiring no additional hardware. For research use only.
