EZ1 Advanced DNA Tissue Card

From QIAGEN, this protocol card is formulated for automated DNA purification from fresh or frozen tissue samples on the EZ1 Advanced system. It is used in combination with the EZ1 DNA Tissue Kit and specifies a choice of purification protocols without any manual data entry, simplifying workstation setup.

The card supports high-quality genomic DNA recovery with reproducible results and minimal inhibitor carryover, suitable for downstream applications such as PCR and sequencing. On the EZ1 Advanced instrument, runs process 1–6 samples, while the EZ1 Advanced XL handles 1–14 samples, both completing purifications in less than 20 minutes. Bar code reading enables complete tracking of samples and reagents throughout the purification process, supporting full traceability and reliable data management.

As part of the EZ1 Advanced workflow, the card integrates with prefilled, foil-sealed reagent cartridges and benefits from integrated UV decontamination that helps eliminate sample carryover between runs. New cards can be added as application needs expand, increasing the range of available purification protocols without retraining or instrument modification.
