EZ1 Adv. XL Virus Card v2.0

QIAGEN offers this preprogrammed card for use on the EZ1 Advanced XL instrument together with the EZ1 Virus Mini Kit v2.0. Once inserted into the card slot, the card specifies a purification protocol without any manual data entry, enabling the workstation to begin sample processing automatically.

The card supports purification of viral DNA and RNA from human plasma, serum, CSF, urine, and respiratory samples, yielding high-quality viral nucleic acids that are delivered in 1.5 ml microcentrifuge tubes. The EZ1 Advanced XL is built for low- to medium-throughput workflows and can process up to 14 samples per run in less than 20 minutes. As application needs grow, additional cards can be purchased to extend the range of purification protocols without retraining or instrument modification.

Purified viral DNA and RNA obtained through this workflow are compatible with a wide range of downstream quantitative real-time PCR assays and thermal cyclers, supporting accurate quantification of diverse viral targets.
