EZ1 Adv. XL DSP DNA Blood Card

Preprogrammed for use with the EZ1 Advanced XL instrument and the EZ1 DSP DNA Blood Kit, this QIAGEN protocol card is designed for purification of DNA from human whole blood samples for in vitro diagnostic applications. The card provides both on-screen instructions for the user and operating commands for the instrument.

Automated sample preparation uses proven magnetic-particle technology for routine diagnostic workflows. Prefilled and sealed reagent cartridges, simple protocol selection, and a guided worktable setup help to prevent handling errors, while minimizing manual handling of potentially infectious samples. The system combines straightforward operation with stringent reagent quality control.

With the EZ1 DSP DNA Blood Kit, the EZ1 Advanced XL enables purification of DNA from 1–14 samples of human whole blood in a single run. All processing steps are performed by the instrument, from piercing the reagent cartridge to elution of highly pure nucleic acids, with no centrifugation required. The pipet tips function as separation chambers, increasing the efficiency of magnetic purification. The resulting genomic DNA is ready to use in sensitive downstream diagnostic assays based on enzymatic amplification, including polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for genotyping, and is also suited for HLA and genetic testing.
