EZ1 Adv. XL DNA Tissue Card

QIAGEN supplies this preprogrammed card to enable straightforward setup of DNA purification protocols from tissue samples on the EZ1 Advanced XL workstation. It is used together with the EZ1 DNA Tissue Kit, and the workflow requires the operator to insert the card into the instrument's card slot to launch the selected protocol.

The card supports magnetic-particle-based purification, leveraging the EZ1 Advanced XL's walkaway automation, where samples and prefilled, foil-sealed reagent cartridges are loaded into the instrument and processed automatically. The EZ1 Advanced XL can handle up to 14 samples per run, and reagents remain sealed until the instrument door is closed and the run is started, reducing the risk of contamination during setup.

High-quality DNA obtained with the card, the EZ1 DNA Tissue Kit, and the EZ1 Advanced XL is suited to a range of downstream applications, including PCR, sequencing, and genotyping. Bar code reading enables tracking of samples and reagents throughout the purification process, and as application needs expand, additional protocol cards can be purchased to broaden the range of purification protocols available on the workstation.
