EZ1 Adv. XL DNA Invest.L.Scale Bone Card

A preprogrammed consumable card from QIAGEN designed to enable rapid setup of DNA purification protocols on the EZ1 Advanced XL instrument. The card is intended for use with the EZ1 DNA Investigator Kit and contains protocols for the automated purification of DNA from lysates of bone or teeth. Samples are first ground into a fine powder, decalcified, and lysed before processing.

The protocols enable extraction of mitochondrial or total genomic DNA with attention to sample purity and yield. The card provides on-screen operating instructions for the user and operating commands for the instrument. The workflow is designed so that DNA can be purified and tested in a single day, supporting an optimized laboratory process.

The QIAGEN EZ1 Advanced XL can process up to 14 samples per run, with sample volumes of 1.0, 1.5, or 1.8 ml. The high-quality DNA obtained is suited for human identity and forensic testing as well as the routine analysis of forensic samples. The card is optimized for large-scale processing of bone and other challenging, low-yield forensic specimens, making it appropriate for forensic and molecular biology laboratories.
