This mechanical air-cushion pipette from Eppendorf supports accurate, easy, and ergonomic handling of aqueous solutions. The single-channel Research plus variable volume pipette covers a 1–10 mL range with a turquoise control button and is supplied with an epT.I.P.S. sample bag.

Designed according to Eppendorf's PhysioCare Concept® principles, the pipette is described as ultra-light, with notably low weight and pipetting forces that help reduce hand and arm strain. The product is also said to offer one of the lowest operating and tip ejection forces on the pipette market. Its lower part, or the entire pipette, can be autoclaved for decontamination, and premium materials provide high UV and chemical resistance.

Users can temporarily adjust the pipette for better accuracy when pipetting challenging liquids such as ethanol, or when working at high altitudes, and then return it to factory adjustment without calibration. Documented applications include forward pipetting, reverse pipetting, removal of supernatants, sample mixing, phase extraction, and filling of plates, gels, and reaction vessels. Made in Germany.
