Eppendorf Research® plus single-channel, variable 0.5 – 10 µL, medium gray incl. epT.I.P.S.® box

From the Eppendorf Research® plus range, this single-channel pipette covers an adjustable volume range of 0.5 to 10 µL using air-displacement technology. It is described as ultralight and fully autoclavable, with the Eppendorf PhysioCare Concept engineered to reduce hand and arm strain through low operating, tip attachment, and tip ejection forces—ejection force as low as 3.6 N. A spring-loaded tip cone absorbs insertion pressure to provide a secure air-tight seal with minimal user effort, while a four-digit volume display with a magnifying shape allows readings from any angle. Volume is set via an adjustment wheel that moves between maximum and minimum in only a few turns.

The pipette features a secondary adjustment function for temporarily optimising performance with non-aqueous liquids, high-altitude conditions, or elongated tips, with a simple return to factory settings. It uses the Eppendorf PerfectPiston system built from Fortron PPS, a high-performance polymer resistant to acids, alkalis, solvents, heat, and abrasion. A quick-connection clip allows the lower part to be removed in two steps for cleaning and maintenance, and the lower part—or the entire pipette—can be autoclaved without disassembly. It is compatible with Eppendorf ColorTag systems for laboratory integration.

Volume increments are 0.01 µL. Quoted systematic error figures from Eppendorf are ± 8% (± 0.04 µL) at 0.5 µL, ± 2.5% (± 0.025 µL) at 1 µL, ± 1.5% (± 0.075 µL) at 5 µL, and ± 1% (± 0.1 µL) at 10 µL. Random error figures are ± 5% (± 0.025 µL) at 0.5 µL, ± 1.8% (± 0.18 µL) at 1 µL, ± 0.8% (± 0.04 µL) at 5 µL, and ± 0.4% (± 0.04 µL) at 10 µL.
