This single-channel, fixed-volume mechanical pipette from Eppendorf delivers 500 µL and features a blue control button. As part of the Research plus line, it is described as one of the safest and most ergonomic mechanical pipettes available, engineered for precise and accurate pipetting of aqueous solutions. The ultra-lightweight design follows the Eppendorf PhysioCare Concept® principles to reduce hand and arm strain during use.

A spring-loaded tip cone achieves optimal tip tightness while minimizing attachment forces, and the pipette is reported to require up to 50% less pipetting force compared with conventional designs. Users can temporarily adjust the instrument for challenging liquids such as ethanol or for work at high altitudes, then return to the factory setting without recalibration. A secondary adjustment supports greater accuracy for specific liquid types, and a four-digit volume display keeps settings easy to read. The lower portion can be removed in two steps via a quick connection clip for straightforward maintenance, and the entire pipette or only its lower part may be autoclaved for decontamination.

The body is made from Fortron®, a material resistant to acids, alkalies, mildew, bleaches, aging, sunlight, heat, and abrasion, and offers high UV and chemical resistance. Suitable applications include forward pipetting, reverse pipetting, removal of supernatants, sample mixing, phase extraction, and filling of plates, gels, and reaction vessels.
