Eppendorf Research® plus single-channel, fixed, 50 µL, yellow

From Eppendorf, this single-channel mechanical air-cushion pipette delivers a fixed 50 µL volume and is identified by its yellow control button. Built around the Eppendorf PhysioCare Concept® principles, it is remarkably light in both weight and pipetting forces, helping to reduce hand and arm strain during extended use in the lab.

The pipette features a spring-loaded tip cone that lowers tip attachment forces while maintaining a secure, reproducible tip fit, with haptic feedback confirming proper tip seating. A SOFTeject function further reduces tip ejection forces, contributing to one of the lowest operating and tip ejection forces on the pipette market. The instrument is fully autoclavable as a whole or with only the lower part removed, and is constructed from premium materials for high UV and chemical resistance. Users can temporarily adjust the pipette for challenging liquids such as ethanol or for work at high altitudes, then return it to the factory calibration without recalibration. The fixed-volume 50 µL configuration is intended for use with 200 µL pipette tips.

Typical applications include forward pipetting, reverse pipetting, removal of supernatants, sample mixing, phase extraction, and filling of plates, gels, and reaction vessels. The pipette is made in Germany.
