Eppendorf Research® plus Move It®, adjustable cone distance, 8-channel, 1 – 20 µL, light pink

Eppendorf's Research® plus Move It® is an 8-channel air-cushion pipette designed for variable volume work, finished in light pink and covering a 1 – 20 µL range. It introduces adjustable tip spacing of 4.5 to 33 mm (cone distance 4.5 – 14 mm), so samples can be moved between formats such as tubes, plates and agarose gels without repeated single-channel transfers.

Operation is purely mechanical: a manual spacing control clicks into predefined settings for 384-, 96-, 48-, 24- and 12-well plates, allowing fast switches between source and destination vessels. A tubeless construction links the piston–cylinder system directly to the nose cone, which allows the head to rotate a full 360°, reduces hand fatigue through improved balance, and keeps liquid transfer vibration-free. The pipette has a 0.02 µL volume increment, a spring-loaded tip cone and is autoclavable.

Delivery includes the pipette, an epT.I.P.S.® Box 2.0 with epT.I.P.S.® 384 tips, an operating manual, a certificate, an adjustment tool and adjustment seals for temporary adjustment. Listed consumables are epT.I.P.S.® 384 only, although the system is open to third-party tips. Quoted random and systematic measurement errors are: random — 1 µL ± 8 % (± 0.08 µL), 2 µL ± 5 % (± 0.1 µL), 10 µL ± 2 % (± 0.2 µL), 20 µL ± 1 % (± 0.2 µL); systematic — 1 µL ± 15 % (± 0.15 µL), 2 µL ± 10 % (± 0.2 µL), 10 µL ± 4 % (± 0.4 µL), 20 µL ± 2 % (± 0.4 µL).
