This 24-channel mechanical pipette from Eppendorf belongs to the Research® plus line and offers a variable volume range of 5 – 100 µL, with a light yellow colour marking. Designed for use with 384-well plates, it features a 4.5 mm cone distance and is supplied with an epT.I.P.S.® Box.

Combining about 60 years of innovation in liquid handling, the ultra-light Research plus is described as one of the most commonly used pipettes in the world. It offers high precision and accuracy alongside ergonomic benefits, including reduced hand and arm strain during pipetting, and has the lowest weight and lowest operation forces among Eppendorf's product families. A spring-loaded tip cone ensures a reliable tip fit with low attachment forces: a gentle push-down produces haptic feedback indicating a secure fit, removing the need to rock or bang the tip. The spring limits attachment forces while guaranteeing reproducible results, and this spring-loaded tip cone is fitted to all Eppendorf microlitre pipettes up to 1,000 µL.

The pipette was developed within the Eppendorf PhysioCare Concept®, which prioritises an ultralight and balanced design, and incorporates both the spring-loaded tip cone and the SOFTeject function. Within Eppendorf's broader range, single-channel pipettes are available in fixed or variable volumes, while multi-channel options include 8, 12, 16 and 24-channel configurations.
