Eppendorf Research® plus 12-channel, variable, 0.5 – 10 µL, medium gray

This twelve-channel mechanical pipette from Eppendorf uses an air-cushion system and delivers a variable volume range of 0.5 – 10 µL with a 0.01 µL increment. It is finished in medium gray. The design follows the Eppendorf PhysioCare Concept®, keeping the pipette light in weight and reducing both operating and tip ejection forces. A spring-loaded tip cone minimizes tip attachment effort, and the device can be temporarily adjusted for challenging liquids or high altitudes, then returned to factory adjustment. The entire pipette, or only its lower part, can be autoclaved, and the housing offers high UV and chemical resistance. Tip cones accept epT.I.P.S.® consumables as well as third-party tips.

Stated random measurement error is ± 8% (± 0.04 µL) at 0.5 µL, ± 5% (± 0.05 µL) at 1 µL, ± 2% (± 0.1 µL) at 5 µL, and ± 1% (± 0.1 µL) at 10 µL. Stated systematic measurement error is ± 12% (± 0.06 µL) at 0.5 µL, ± 8% (± 0.08 µL) at 1 µL, ± 4% (± 0.2 µL) at 5 µL, and ± 2% (± 0.2 µL) at 10 µL. Documented applications include forward pipetting, reverse pipetting, removal of supernatants, sample mixing, phase extraction, and filling of plates, gels, and reaction vessels. The delivery package contains epT.I.P.S.® Box 2.0 pipette tips, an operating manual, a certificate, an adjustment tool (Allen key with blue handle), adjustment seals for temporary adjustment, grease for pipettes, locking clips to prevent spring action, and an O-ring tool.
