Eppendorf Reference® 2 single- channel, fixed, 2.5 mL, red

Eppendorf Reference® 2 single-channel mechanical pipette with a fixed 2.5 mL volume and a red operating button, intended for use with 2,500 µL tips.

Operation is handled through a single button that supports dispense, blow-out and tip ejection, with clear haptic feedback to help avoid accidental tip ejection and active aerosol reduction. The pipette features a 4-digit volume display with a magnifying window, a spring-loaded tip cone that lowers tip attachment force, and a temporary adjustment option for accurate pipetting of different liquids or under changing external conditions without a full recalibration. The smooth surface and full autoclavability support efficient decontamination, and the stainless steel handle combined with spring-loaded bumpers helps the instrument stay within calibration even after a fall.

Documented applications include forward pipetting, reverse pipetting, removal of supernatants, sample mixing, phase extraction, and filling of plates, gels and reaction vessels. The Reference 2 range also includes single-channel variable-volume models as well as 8- and 12-channel pipettes.
