A configuration of single-channel, variable-volume manual pipettes from Eppendorf, this offering comes from the manufacturer's premium Reference 2 line and covers volume ranges of 100–1000 µL, 0.5–5 mL and 1–10 mL. It is supplied with epT.I.P.S.® boxes, a rack of 1000 µL tips and sample bags of 5 mL and 10 mL tips.

Built with a focus on precision and accuracy, the Reference 2 combines improved ergonomics with optimum user safety, reliability and robustness for a long service life. A single-button operation is fast and easy to use while enabling active aerosol reduction that protects the user, the sample and the pipette itself. The pipette features a stainless steel handle that shields it from impact, and spring-loaded bumpers that help it stay within calibration even after a fall.

For liquids other than aqueous solutions, a secondary adjustment lets the user modify settings easily without altering the factory settings, with suggestions provided, and a quick reset back to the manufacturer setting is also built in. These characteristics make the Reference 2 ideal for work with precious liquids and for liquid-handling applications that demand extremely high levels of accuracy and reproducibility.
