EpiTect Fast Bisulfite Kit (10)

A small-scale bisulfite conversion system from QIAGEN, designed for ultrafast, highly efficient conversion of unmethylated cytosines to uracils across a broad range of starting materials, including genomic DNA, formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples, whole blood, cultured cells and tissue. The kit enables bisulfite conversion in as little as 30 minutes, while the innovative DNA Protect Buffer prevents DNA fragmentation and supports effective DNA denaturation under the harsh conditions of bisulfite treatment.

The integrated workflow streamlines sample lysis and direct bisulfite conversion without requiring prior DNA isolation, and achieves cytosine conversion rates exceeding 99%. The spin-column procedure can be automated on the QIAcube Connect, and converted DNA is eluted in a low volume suitable for downstream methylation analysis.

The kit comprises Deparaffinization Solution, Lysis Buffer, Proteinase K, Bisulfite Solution, DNA Protect Buffer, MinElute DNA Spin Columns, Carrier RNA and Buffers, with the MinElute spin columns stored at 2–8°C upon arrival.
