EBV EBNA-1 Pep Pool 25ug/pep

A lyophilized peptide pool from STEMCELL Technologies, formulated for immune cell activation. It contains 158 peptides derived from Epstein-Barr nuclear antigen 1 (EBNA-1) of Epstein-Barr virus (strain B95-8), supplied as 15-mer sequences with 11-amino-acid overlaps that together span amino acids 1–641 on EBNA-1. The protein is identified in the Swiss-Prot database as P03211.

EBNA-1 plays a critical role in the stable latent infection by EBV and may contribute to the survival of EBV-infected cells through its interaction with ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 7 (USP7). The pool is lyophilized as trifluoroacetate salts with an average purity of 70%, with approximately 25 μg (15 nmol) per peptide — an amount sufficient for stimulating 2.5 x 10^8 cells.

For use, the product is warmed to room temperature (15–25°C) before reconstitution, then dissolved in approximately 40 μL of pure dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and diluted with water to the desired concentration, keeping the final DMSO concentration below 1% (v/v) to avoid toxicity. It should be stored at -20°C, protected from light, and is stable as supplied until the expiry date on the label. For research use only.
