EasySep RBC Depletion Reagent Sample

The EasySep RBC Depletion Reagent Sample from STEMCELL Technologies is an immunomagnetic negative-selection reagent used to rapidly remove red blood cells from single-cell suspensions such as whole blood and bone marrow aspirates. This Sample SKU provides a reduced volume for evaluation or low-throughput workflows, allowing laboratories to confirm performance before scaling to the full-size EasySep RBC Depletion Reagent.

The reagent is built around a tetrameric antibody complex that targets glycophorin A (CD235a), the human erythrocyte sialoglycoprotein expressed at high density on mature red blood cells. After a brief incubation, EasySep RapidSphere magnetic particles bind to the labeled RBCs and an EasySep magnet pulls them out of suspension in a tube-based protocol that needs no columns. The untouched leukocyte fraction is then ready for downstream applications such as flow cytometry, in vitro culture, or RNA extraction.

For typical inputs of 0.5 to 4 mL of anticoagulated human whole blood, the reagent routinely achieves RBC depletion exceeding 99% with leukocyte recoveries above 80%, as reported in STEMCELL Technologies application notes.
