Built on QIAGEN's QIAcuity digital PCR platform, this LNA Mutation Assay enables absolute, reference-standard-free quantification of low-frequency sequence variants. Locked Nucleic Acid probe chemistry delivers discrimination down to approximately 0.1% variant allele frequency, supporting liquid biopsy, circulating tumor DNA research, and minimal residual disease studies where rare-mutation sensitivity is critical. Each kit is supplied as a dual-tube set with FAM- and HEX-labeled probes, allowing simultaneous mutant-allele detection and wild-type reference calling in a single multiplexed reaction. The 1000-reaction format is intended for high-throughput screening of clinical research cohorts and tumor profiling pipelines.

Run samples on QIAcuity Nanoplates, read on the QIAcuity instrument, and analyze partitions directly in the QIAcuity Software Suite for automated positive and negative calling. Store components at -20 °C, protect from light, and thaw single-use aliquots on ice before pipetting to preserve probe performance. The nanowell partition readout removes inter-well amplification efficiency variability common to qPCR-based rare-variant detection, providing a robust absolute count of mutant molecules per microliter of input and making the workflow well suited for cell-free DNA and FFPE-derived sample testing.
